Announcement: Just to let you know...

  • Oct. 13th, 2009 at 3:57 PM

I will be posting more icons/fics soon...I just need to get into the hang of uni first and make sure I'm not behind on anything etc etc. But even then, what with all the assignments coming up, I likely won't be able to post a lot until December.

I'll be posting some fics (mostly House MD) that I've already posted on Fanpop on here whenever I can. Maybe some BJD ficlets if I've the time.

So, if I'm not very active, that would be why; not because I've been found 3 weeks later half eaten by Alsatians ;]

In fact, here's a House MD fic that people over at Fanpopland like...

Writer's Block: Go to the head of the class

  • Oct. 12th, 2009 at 11:20 PM

When you take a class or attend a big meeting, where do you prefer to sit? Up close or way back where you can make a speedy get-away? Can you force yourself to focus even when you're not interested?

When I was at school, I usually sat at the back. I found school incredibly boring and fell asleep in lessons. Plus I'm not too fond of authority so I was constantly rebelling against the teachers in some way.
When it came to the last 2 years of school...class groups were smaller so we all sat in one row...simply because there was only one row...final years occupied smaller classrooms that were only meant for us to utilise.
Now I'm at uni, I sit somewhere in the middle during lectures. Keen but not too keen. Also, I'm more likely to focus then, which I obviously need to do or, um, no degree for me.

BJD fic: Never Again

Title: Never Again
Fandom: Bridget Jones' Diary
Ship: Mark/Bridget
Rating: K+
Words: 250
Disclaimer: Put it this way...if I owned them I wouldn't be sitting here writing this...I'd be swimming in money yelling 'I'm rich! I'm rich!'...or, er, doing something more productive, of course. Heh.
Notes: Umm...more of a drabble then a fic...*shrugs*

Come on, show's over (here) )

Writer's Block: Agree to disagree

Have you ever stopped being friends with someone over differences in political views? Are there any issues that are so important to you that you cannot be friends with someone who holds a contrary opinion?

Pretty much everyone I know has some political view that's different to mine. I won't stop being their friend because of it though. Possibly because I like a good debate, and my friends already know how crazy I am, so my debating won't scare them as much as debating with a total stranger would.

If I expected all my friends to have the exact same political views as I do...well, I wouldn't have many friends left. That doesn't mean to say I don't have strong views though, both political and not. For example, I'm 100% dead set against capital punishment and I would not condone it under any circumstances, however I have a few friends who are 100% for it. Hell, even my own father is for it; I'm not going to stop talking to my own father because of this so why should I stop talking to my friends because of the same thing?

End of ramble.

Writer's Block: Finders keepers?

If you found a $100 at the library, would you pocket it or turn it in? What about at a diner or pub? Confess!

I'd turn it in or hand it to charity.
I don't feel right keeping something I haven't earned =/

Writer's Block: Peek-a-boo, what to do?

  • Sep. 20th, 2009 at 12:23 AM

If your friend or partner left his or her email open, would you look? How about a journal? Have you ever peeked at something private?

Hell no!!
I may be a little curious, but it would be an invasion of their privacy, and I wouldn't want anyone to do that to me.

Ooops!

Well I said I'd be making some icons and I have, honest, I just never got the time to post them on here (but they were posted on Fanpop).

I'm also in the process of making some Colin Firth icons and have made about 100 so far (I can't help it!) but I haven't finished those ones yet so expect a HUGE post of only Colin icons sometime soon (hopefully).

So here they are for your viewing pleasure!

25 Keira Knightley
38 Leighton Meester (with Ed Westwick in some of them)
11 Chuck & Blair

This way to teh iconage. Oh yesh! )

No matter what language you speak, you've probably come across words or phrases in another language that sound better than their equivalents in your native tongue. What's your favorite word or phrase in a foreign language?

English isn't actually my mother tongue, but I consider it almost as such...so I absolutely LOVE pretty much all foreign words....usually the Romance languages (French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish etc etc) and Korean too! ^-^

I love tesoro in Italian which means treasure or darling. It sounds so soothing! =D
Je t'aime is a good one for French...
The Korean equivalent of I love you is also pretty...I don't know how to spell it but...sarang ha yo

Basically I love any language that's not English XD

Writer's Block: In a Jam

Mac Taylor (from CSI:NY) of course ;]

If he's too busy I'd settle for Don Flack (also from CSI:NY)

Icon love!

  • Apr. 5th, 2009 at 9:55 PM

Sorry that I haven't updated in months(!) but have been terribly busy and/or lost my password. XD I know, I'm unbelievably unreliable...runs in the family...I think.

But now that I've finally got Photoshop (hurrah!) I want to make a few icons of different shows/people etc but I don't know where to start!

Any ideas are welcome =]
